Bently is a red brindle male, 5 years old, who recently returned to us after living in a home for several months.We think Bentley grew up in New York. He has that unmistakable East Coast attitude. Although Bentley lives happily with several medium to large dogs, he has NO problem telling them exactly what he thinks and going toe-to-toe with any of them. Bentley does have a soft side. He loves his person and wants to be underfoot whenever she is home. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion, Bentley would be a great choice. FOSTER UPDATE: Kent/Bentley does well with large dogs but has a high prey drive so no cats/small dogs. He is a confident dog without any shyness. Bentley lets you vacuum around him and did not seem concerned about the monsoons at all. He does growl when pushed around by dogs he does not know and initially did not let me take his bully stick from him. He has shown no food aggression at all. Bentley is house trained using a doggie door. He has been left at home for 9 hours in the company of nine other dogs without any problems. Kent does bark at strange noises or to get your attention. He would be a good watch dog. He was crated initially for no more than 2 hours when being house trained but has not been crated in months. Bentley rides well in a car but does like to stand between the front seats. He eats well, walks well on a lead, lets me trim his nails and clean his ears without problem. He knows his name is Bentley and will come when called. He LOVES human attention and could do well as an only dog if his people are around a lot. He get along well with other dogs also but would probably prefer to have no more than one or two siblings (more attention for him). Bentley's activity level is normal for a greyhound. He walks in the morning then sacks out for rest of the day. He does get excited when his humans come home (as in jumping) and does like to stick his nose in your face if you are dozing in a recliner (he LOVES people). He has not been around a pool. I think that he would enjoy being in a home with lots of attention/lovings.
