Maize is a SARA favorite - and who doesn't love a beautiful blue-eyed boy? Maize was found all alone at the side of the road as a tiny kitten; He was very scared of the world and too young to stay at the local shelter so he was taken in by SARA.; With the help of his foster mom and his kitty siblings he has learned to trust that the world is not such a terrible place. He finds adoption events scary and although he is a lovebug with the people he knows he is afraid of strangers. He's looking for a family who will accept that he will take time to trust them, but know that their reward will come. He wants a family who understand that he has 4 legs and doesn't need assistance to move around the house - unless, of course, he asks to be carried. He's a sweet sensitive guy looking for the right family (a quieter home with no small children) - and obviously gorgeous too! Wouldn't he look great sitting in your window? He's looking for an understanding family who will love him just the way he is. Maize does live in a foster home with several other cats (and dogs) and gets along with everyone. We believe he will adjust best in a home with at least one other cat in the home. We would ask interested adopters to consider adopting with a friend if there are no other cats in the home (we will discount the adoption fee on a second SARA cat).
